This classic construction book was in its 26th printing before it was retired in early 2008. It is well out of date, but for some reason remains in high demand--selling on the used market for several times its cover price.

The book uses a trial version of SketchUp 4.0 to take readers step by step through the construction of a wood framed house. The tutorials take a hands-on approach to learning SketchUp and is a great way to learn 3D modeling and the basics of wood frame construction.

Though there are differences between SketchUp V4 and the latest Google upgrades, the simplicity of the early version of SketchUp and the principles of construction modeling in this book can be adapted for use with all versions of SketchUp.
