3D CONSTRUCTION MODELING

These are rough drafts of the tutorials and illustrations that will be used for the upcoming sequel to our now classic book 3D Construction Modeling: Project-based Learning.

The sequel uses the same 2D plans from the early book to take users through the step by step assembly of a 3D construction model using Google SketchUp.

The printed book is due out in late 2010 or early 2011.

THE BATHAUS

Schematic construction model for budget review and engineering calculations. This house will be erected on a neighboring ranch to control mosquitoes and maintain a natural environmental balance (without pesticides).

THE NEST

This little house continues to be of interest to the small house community. Unlike other tiny houses, the NEST is a steel frame rigid structure engineered to withstand the hurricane force winds in Florida.
